On arrival at Colombo, Bandaranaike International Airport, a Bespoke Holidays reprensentative will meet and greet and introduce you to your English-speaking driver-guide. Transfer from Airport to the Cultural Triangle for a 3 night stay.

Overnight stay at Jetwing Vil Uyana in a Garden Dwelling on bed & breakfast basis 

Early this morning climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress, which is a World Heritage Site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70-hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens, including the renowned water gardens, ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ”Heavenly Maidens” of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

Return to the hotel, be at leisure, in the afternoon proceed to do a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park (driving time is approx. 20 minutes) 

Minneriya National Park covers an area of around 8,889 hectares. Dry zone plant and animal species are common, and elephants can be found in significant numbers. Unlike other national parks, elephants can be seen at a very close range. About 160 species of birds, 9 amphibians, 25 reptile species, 26 fish species and more than 78 butterfly species have been found in this area. There are also rare bamboo trees in this park which are not found elsewhere.

On completion you will be served with gin & tonic, cocktails & fruit platter while enjoying the surrounding nature of the Park. 

Afterwards return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Thereafter proceed to experience the Hiriwaduna Village Safari.

Connect with the locals and enjoys an excursion in the tracks of a Sri Lankan village. This tour will be an opportunity for you to emerge through the nature and beauty of a Sri Lankan village. Begin your journey through the paddy fields and the vegetable cultivations, and you then will enter the heart of the village and meet the simple lifestyle of the fellow villagers. 

Life here in the village is much simpler, much away from all the chaos and noise, the hustle and bustle of all the traffic, the tranquility roar through the jungle paths. If you have included a catamaran ride in your bucket list, this is the perfect expedition for you. You get the chance to enjoy a serene ride through the village waters, lilies, and fish. If you are a nature lover or even longing to connect with nature, this will be absolute bliss. Finally, do not forget to enjoy a typical Sri Lankan meal as you complete your tour. This will be arranged at a villager’s house where you will dine the traditional way.  Return to the hotel.

After breakfast proceed to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. 

The Dambulla rock temple was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C., and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves, with over 2000 square metres of painted walls and ceilings, is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha, of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 metres.
On completion proceed to Kandy for night stay. (approx. 2 hours & 30 minutes)
Enroute visit a spice garden in Matale to see some of the many different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous. You will be introduced to a variety of spices and shown how some of these are grown and processed and a 15-minute massage will be provided. 

In Kandy you will check-in at Jetwing Kandy Gallery & spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Learn about the process of manufacturing tea and see how tea is graded. And afterwards, sample a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.

Thereafter proceed to Peradeniya Railway Station to catch your train to Ella. 

The train journey from Kandy to Ella in Sri Lanka is a mesmerizing experience that takes passengers on a breathtaking ride through lush tea plantations and misty hills. As the train chugs along, travelers are treated to stunning vistas of emerald-green tea fields, cascading waterfalls, and charming villages. The rhythmic clatter of the train on the tracks enhances the sense of adventure, making it a must-do for anyone seeking a picturesque and immersive glimpse into Sri Lanka’s natural beauty.

In Ella, you will be picked up at the station by your English-Speaking chauffeur guide and there after proceed to the hotel.

After breakfast this morning you will proceed to visit the Nine Arch Bridge.

The Nine Arch Bridge in Sri Lanka is a marvel of engineering and a visual spectacle. Located near Ella, this iconic bridge stands amidst lush greenery, held up by nine majestic arches. Built during the British colonial era, it’s a popular attraction for its picturesque setting and the trains that traverse its curves. Visitors gather to witness the trains passing through the misty hills, making the Nine Arch Bridge a must-see destination for its blend of history, nature, and charm. 

On completion return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast transfer to Yala.

Enroute visit the little Adam’s Peak which resembles Adam’s Peak You can also enjoy a panoramic view while walking through lush green tea plantations.

On completion proceed to Yala en-route you will witness the Ravana Falls.

In Yala you will check-in at Jetwing Yala & spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Early this morning you will proceed on a game drive of Yala National Park by jeep.    
Yala National Park covers an area of approximately 1,259 sq. kms and is the largest national park in Sri Lanka.  It is in the southeastern corner of the island, and it has the bonus of scenic ocean frontage. The park is home to wild elephants, wild boars, wild buffaloes, leopards, bears, deer, and crocodiles. Large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds are also found here. 

Thereafter you will return to the hotel and be at leisure, relaxing by the pool and later this afternoon proceed on another game drive of Yala National Park.

Return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Koggala.

In Koggala you will check-in at The Fortress and in the afternoon proceed to explore Galle Fort and Galle old town with your driver guide. (driving time to Galle approx.. 20 minutes)

This charming UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best examples of a fortified city built by Europeans in Asia and is a wonderful place to explore on foot. With incredibly well-preserved colonial architecture, bastions and city gates, highlights include the ramparts, the Dutch Reformed Church which dates from 1754, the pretty old post office, All Saints Church built in 1868 and old Arab Quarter.
