A considered pace, from arrival to departure
Day 2
Village life & Sigiriya
Travel inland for a village experience at Hiriwaduna, combining paddy fields, a gentle catamaran ride and a traditional lunch. Continue to Water Garden Sigiriya for two nights.
Day 3
Pidurangala & Minneriya
Climb Pidurangala in the cool early morning, with breakfast overlooking the landscape. Later, head out by jeep in Minneriya National Park before a relaxed sundowner.
Day 4
Sigiriya to Passikudah
Explore the UNESCO-listed Sigiriya rock fortress, then travel east to Uga Bay. Your Beach Studio becomes home for three unhurried nights.
Day 5
Passikudah
A full day with no agenda. Enjoy the beach, the hotel and the pleasure of having nowhere else to be.
Day 6
Passikudah
A second day at leisure, giving the coast the time it deserves rather than treating it as a brief stop.
Day 7
Dambulla & Kandy
Visit Dambulla Cave Temple and a spice garden in Matale before continuing into the hills. Check in to W15 Hanthana for a two-night all-inclusive stay.
Day 8
Kandy
Enjoy a leisurely morning, then discover Kandy, including the Temple of the Tooth, local crafts and an atmospheric evening walk.
Day 9
The train to tea country
Board the scenic train towards Hatton, where your driver meets you for the onward journey to Ceylon Tea Trails. Train reservations remain subject to availability.
Day 10
Ceylon Tea Trails
A completely flexible day to enjoy the bungalow, its setting and the included experiences, perhaps with a guided tea-factory visit.
Day 11
Tea country to Colombo
Travel to Colombo and check in at Uga Residence. Later, explore the city through its food and layered history on a privately hosted walk.
Day 12
Departure
A private transfer to Colombo airport, timed around your onward flight.
