After breakfast this morning proceed to Hiriwaduna. In Hiriwaduna you will engage in the Hiriwaduna Village Safari with lunch. Connect with the locals and enjoys an excursion in the tracks of a Sri Lankan village. This tour will be an opportunity for you to emerge through the nature and beauty of a Sri Lankan village. Begin your journey through the paddy fields and the vegetable cultivations, and you then will enter the heart of the village and meet the simple lifestyle of the fellow villagers.
Life here in the village is much simpler, much away from all the chaos and noise, the hustle and bustle of all the traffic, the tranquility roar through the jungle paths. If you have included a catamaran ride in your bucket list, this is the perfect expedition for you. You get the chance to enjoy a serene ride through the village waters, lilies, and fish. If you are a nature lover or even longing to connect with nature, this will be absolute bliss. Finally, do not forget to enjoy a typical Sri Lankan meal as you complete your tour. This will be arranged at a villager’s house where you will dine the traditional way. After completion of the tour proceed to Sigiriya for 2 nights.

Early morning with packed breakfast, proceed to climb the Pidurangala Rock. Pidurangala is an enormous rock located a few kilometers north of Sigiriya. The two rocks have an interlinked history: whilst King Kasyapa was building Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the 5th century, he moved monks living around Sigiriya to a new monastery on Pidurangala Rock.
Leisurely have breakfast at Pidurangala Rock while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Return to the hotel be at leisure, and in the afternoon proceed to do a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park.
Minneriya National Park covers an area of around 8,889 hectares. Dry zone plant and animal species are common, and elephants can be found in significant numbers. Unlike other national parks, elephants can be seen at a very close range. About 160 species of birds, 9 amphibians, 25 reptile species, 26 fish species and more than 78 butterfly species have been found in this area. There are also rare bamboo trees in this park which are not found elsewhere.
On completion you will be served with gin & tonic, cocktails & fruit platter while enjoying the surrounding nature of the Park.
Afterwards return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast proceed to climb Sigiriya rock fortress. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress, which is a World Heritage Site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70-hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens, including the renowned water gardens, ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.
On completion transfer to Passikudah for 03 nights stay.

After breakfast proceed to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. The Dambulla rock temple was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C., and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves, with over 2000 square metres of painted walls and ceilings, is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha, of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 metres.
Transfer to Kandy.
Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name ‘Kandy’ conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy lake, built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, in 1798.
Enroute visit a spice garden in Matale to see some of the many different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous. You will be introduced to a variety of spices and shown how some of these are grown and processed.

Late this afternoon visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, visit Kandy town, the bazaar, an arts and crafts center and a gem museum /lapidary and end the day followed by Kandy night walk.

After breakfast this morning proceed to Kandy Railway Station to board the train to Hatton Railway Station.
Your driver guide will meet you at the Hatton Railway Station and transfer you to Tea Trails, where you will check in and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

After a leisurely breakfast proceed to Colombo for a night.
Check -in at Uga Residence and in the afternoon proceed to do Colombo foodie walk combined with history (Hosted by Mark Forbes or a member of his team).
The Foodie walk in Colombo takes hungry souls across the globe on a gastronomic delight of cross cultural influences from authentic Sri Lankan to a fusion of Indian- Malay, Dutch and Portuguese.
During the walk you will experience different cultures that make up Sri Lanka and appropriate places to try out your taste buds which come alive with flavours and smells.
We will meet at the Dutch Hospital in Fort where we will give you a brief history of Sri Lanka and the food influences. Depending on your mood we can start with a Thambili (King Coconut) from a street vendor or a shot of Arrack (a Local Sri Lankan spirit) from a dodgy bar before proceeding on foot to taste the different influences.
Return to the hotel and be at leisure.
