Emirates will relaunch flights between Edinburgh and Dubai on 4 November, using one of its brand new Airbus A350-900s. The airline has confirmed that the service, which was suspended in 2020, will be one of nine new routes operated by its new aircraft. The A350-900 offers business class, premium economy and economy seating, but no first class. The Edinburgh service will operate in addition to Emirates’ flights to Dubai from Glasgow.

Sri Lanka have updated their Visa website making it so that tourist visas are now given for 6 months (each stay restricted to 60 days) after previously only being valid for 30 days, so this is great news for visitors looking to do longer trips or take multiple trips to Sri Lanka across 6 months. These changes came into effect 17/04/2024, making the old visa application website for Sri Lanka tourist visas no longer valid.
