3 nights
Siem Reap
Begin in Siem Reap with three nights to discover Angkor Wat, the faces of Bayon and the tree-covered ruins of Ta Prohm. The time here can be shaped around private guiding, quieter temple visits and the pace that suits you.
Angkor, northern Vietnam & Phu Quoc
A thoughtfully paced journey combining the temples of Angkor with Hanoi, an overnight cruise among the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay and a full week beside the sea on Phu Quoc.
Our specialist view
“I like the contrast in this itinerary. Siem Reap gives you time to appreciate Angkor properly, northern Vietnam adds atmosphere and scenery, then seven nights on Phu Quoc ensure the holiday finishes at a genuinely relaxed pace.”
Suggested itinerary
Travellers who want culture and scenery without sacrificing a proper beach stay at the end of the journey.

3 nights
Begin in Siem Reap with three nights to discover Angkor Wat, the faces of Bayon and the tree-covered ruins of Ta Prohm. The time here can be shaped around private guiding, quieter temple visits and the pace that suits you.

1 night
Fly to Hanoi for an introductory night in the capital. Stay centrally and use the evening to begin exploring the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and the city’s lively food scene.

1 night
Travel to the coast for an overnight cruise among the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay. Staying on the water lets you enjoy the scenery as the day visitors leave and the bay becomes quieter.

2 nights
Return to Hanoi for two further nights, leaving time for its markets, museums, cafés and neighbourhoods without trying to fit everything into the first short stay.

7 nights
Finish with a full week on Phu Quoc. Seven nights give you time to settle into island life, enjoy the beach and resort, and add a little exploring only when you feel like it.
